PotsLog

Deleting your data

Yours to destroy, whenever you like.

There is no account to close and no server to write to. Everything PotsLog holds is on your device, so deleting it is something you do rather than something you request.

Export first if you might want it back.

We hold no copy of your record, which is the whole point — and it means deletion is final. Nobody, including us, can restore it.

Delete everything, from inside the app

  1. Open PotsLog.
  2. Go to Settings → Your Data.
  3. Choose Export all data first if you want to keep a copy.
  4. Choose Delete all data and confirm.

This removes every entry, symptom, standing test, medication, reminder, report and setting from the device, immediately and permanently. Your choice about anonymous usage data is deliberately not reset by this, so an opt-out you made is never silently reversed.

Delete everything by uninstalling

Uninstalling PotsLog removes its private storage along with it, which has the same effect. Press and hold the app icon, then choose Uninstall, or use Android Settings → Apps → PotsLog → Uninstall.

Two things uninstalling does not do

  • It does not cancel a subscription. Plus is billed by Google Play and cancelled there: Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
  • It does not remove your phone's own backup. If Google Drive backup included PotsLog, a copy may sit in your Drive, under your password, where we cannot reach it. Remove it in Google One → Storage → Device backups, or turn app backup off for PotsLog before you uninstall.

Files you exported yourself

A PDF, spreadsheet or backup file you exported is an ordinary document once it leaves the app. It is wherever you saved or sent it, and deleting the app does not touch it. Delete those copies yourself if you want them gone.

What we hold, and what happens to it

DataWhere it livesHow it is deleted
Your health record — entries, symptoms, standing tests, medications, fluid and sodium, notes, reports On your device only. We never receive it. By you, in the app or by uninstalling. Immediate and permanent.
Your settings, targets and reminders On your device only. Same as above.
Anonymous usage counts and crash reports Google Firebase, with no identifier attached. Deleted on Firebase's standard retention schedule. It carries no identifier, so it cannot be traced to you or picked out individually — switch it off in Your Data to stop any further collection.
Your purchase history Google Play, under your Google account. We never see payment details. Governed by Google's own retention and by the tax records Google is obliged to keep.

There is no account, no profile and no server-side record of you, so there is no deletion request for us to process. The privacy policy sets this out in full.
